Verizon iPhone 4G Release DATE!

SAN FRANCISCO (LALATE) – The new Verizon iPhone 4G release date is expected for July. The Verizon iPhone 4 G release date, however, after six months of speculation will probably be finally confirmed and announced Monday at Apple’s WWDC live press conference.
It all started in January 2010. For the January Apple press conference, industry analysts contended that Apple would announce (a) a launch of a new tablet product and (b) the expansion of iPhone onto the Verizon and Sprint Networks.
As reported here since January, (a) reports continued to maintain the launch date for the new iPhone would be fall or June 2010, (b) the exclusivity contract expiring would not be renewed and (c) Verizon 4G tests will result in iPhone heading to Verizon’s 4G network first.
The other news added to the mix were the March 2010 Verizon 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) tests. Those tests ran between Boston and Seattle. The numbers were as follows:
Peak Download Speeds: 40-50 Mbps
Avg Download Speeds: 5-12 Mbps 600-1.4 Mbps)
Peak Upload Speeds: 20-25 Mbps
Avg Upload Speeds: 2-5 Mbps
Canaccord Adams’ Peter Misek previously wrote to clients the following:
“We believe there is a good chance that the ‘One more thing…’ part of next week’s presentation may include two iPhone-related announcements: namely, the release of iPhone OS 4.0 and the unveiling of iPhone 4G coming to Verizon in June.”

Apple, Verizon, iPhone
