Hanley Ramirez was benched for not hustling for the ball. But Hanley Ramirez is not apologizing. In fact, Ramirez is slamming the same person who benched him.

Ramirez doesn’t care if looked like he didn’t move fast for the ball. “That’s fine. I can’t control what you can think about that. I can only control what I can do on the field. I know some people are gonna think I gave up, some people will think he was a little bit hurt.”

Ramirez says other people are dogging grounders but aren’t having to apologize. “We got a lot of people dogging it after ground balls. They don’t apologize.’’

And what does Hanley think about manager Fredi Gonzalez?

“It’s his team. He does whatever he —- wants. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s brutal.”
