Preakness Post Time!

Posted: May 15th, 2010 in Horses by LALATE

Preakness post time

When is the Preakness Post Time? What time is the Preakness Stakes on? Preakness Post time, start of the race for the second jewel of the triple crown, is at 6:18 PM EST 3:18 PM PST. But Preakness Post tv coverage is already underway.

NBC starts its coverage two hours ahead of time while local WBAL-TV is already broadcasting from the race early Saturday morning.

Trying again after a horrible Kentucky Derby start is Lookin at Lucky. The three year old colt is 8-6-1-1 will gross earnings of $1,480,000 While a favorite at the Derby, he got no luck in post one and barely exited the gate, only to finish sixth.

Also with a decent odds Saturday morning is Paddy O’Prado. With a race record of 6-1-2-2 GROSS, the gray son of Irish champion and Group 1 winner El Prado has only produced less than $500,000 in earnings.

LALATE will have live results coverage

The Preakness explains his entry today:

“Paddy O’Prado took an unusual route to the Triple Crown races. He made his first start in the Churchill Downs mud last July, finishing a distant seventh. It would be his last trip on conventional dirt until the Derby.

“In between, he made four starts on turf, encountering traffic trouble running second to Dean’s Kitten at Saratoga Race Course, then finishing third to Interactif a month later in the Grade 3 With Anticipation.”
