Dwight Howard’s Blog comments cost him $35,000. Seriously? Dwight Howard Blog remarks continue the NBA’s trend to buckle down on comments by league players and coaches about their officials.

Which did the Orlando Magic center blog about? Howard wrote:

“I’m not looking to say anything to get myself in trouble with the league, but I just don’t see other star players getting called for fouls the way I get them. No star player in the league is outta games the way I am.”

“I mean, it was almost comical at times how I was getting fouls called on me. There was nothing I could do [out] there and I felt like I couldn’t even move without getting that whistle blown on me.”

He was also fined $15,000 in November … for remarks on the same blog.

I thought it was limp. I thought the song was a little more forgettable. It was the only week when I didn’t like your performance.”

TEXT! Here is a text of the Puerto Rico Statehood bill HR 2499. Do you support Puerto Rico Statehood?

The current House bill has 57 Republican co-sponsors and could come to a vote tomorrow. The bill is called the Puerto Rico Democracy Act. The bill calls for a vote, a plebiscite in Puerto Rico, with two options.

“The 2 options set forth on the ballot shall be preceded by the following statement: ‘Instructions: Mark one of the following 2 options:

‘(1) Puerto Rico should continue to have its present form of political status. If you agree, mark here XX.

‘(2) Puerto Rico should have a different political status. If you agree, mark here XX.’.”

But some insiders say there is a problem with the ordering of the referendum. Some say you have three choices – keep current status, adopted statehood, or adopt independence; they claim if option one current status fails to attract the most votes, than statehood or independence are the only options left for round 2 of voting. Really? You decide.
