Iceland Eruption PHOTOS!

Iceland Eruption PHOTOS

PHOTOS! Here are pictures of the Iceland volcano eruption. The Iceland eruption images spread as airports become closed all over Europe Friday and parts of Saturday.

The Iceland volcano eruption of Eyjafjallajökull is leaving tens of thousands of travelers stranded Friday. Airports are closed  all or part of Friday with some extending closings into Saturday. It’s all costing the industry nearly $200 million a day claims the International Air Transport Association.

It’s also becoming a testament to the ability, or failure, of international airports to inform travelers of the situation. Some airports are posting a mere single sentence about their closure and pushing the duty to inform on airlines, not themselves; some are even travelers not to bother the airport about the closure. Pathetic, especially under the situation.

Other airports like Copenhagen airport are doing an excellent job of informing travelers of everything, even ancillary concerns – like the parking fee for their car at the airport during the delays.

Some airports, while providing international travel, are providing substandard web service, with their websites failing to even load during this critical period, some crashing, others taking minutes to load.
