But the story behind Ayesha Siddiqui sounds like something from a tv soap opera. At the center of the story is the unanswered question – who is Ayesha Siddiqui ?

As covered previously on LALATE, Pakistani cricket star Shoaib Malik’s wedding to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza is next week. Since their announced wedding, the two have spark mixed reaction – some praise, some outrage – because of two countries from which their originate.

Malik is already on a suspension for one year because of events during a tour of Australia. But now he faces an unlikely twist at the 11th hour before his wedding – a challenge from his “wife”.

Wife?

Malik is currently in south Indian where Ayesha Siddiqui, who is Indian, claims to already be his wife. She’s filed charges with police that Malik, a foreigner, has engaged in Malik of “harassment, cheating and criminal intimidation.”

Earlier today, the couple (Malik and Mirza, that is) announced the allegations will not stop them getting married net week. Mizra reportedly told press “Of course I am upset. But we are happy that we are together.”

But the story doesn’t end there. Now a Chicago man is added to the mix. Feroz Jalal of Chicago claims Ayesha Siddiqui tried to allegedly trick him to marry her also, that she allegedly contacted him by phone and when he met wasn’t the same person and thereafter allegedly tried to convince him to marry her.

He writes this week: “Finally, later, I got to know about Ayesha’s real identity, her family, etc, through a common friend. I got to know that she had been calling other boys too, and talking to them the same way, and trying to somehow force them to marry her.” For more on his story, click here
