SPOILERS! American Idol’s Top 9 results has a shocker tonight. American Idol’s results tonight were started with the announcement that you will be surprised.

Immediately that sent the net and blogs into a tailspin after many websites had predicted Aaron Kelly or Andrew Garcia would be voted off tonight. Was anyone right?

American Idol Results Top 9 Tonight

If you predicted that Aaron Kelly or Andrew Garcia would headline results tonight being voted off, then you predicted wrong. Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia were sent to next week.

The results started with the announcement that three would be continuing to next week – Crystal Bowersox is staying, Siobhan Magnus is staying, and Katie Stevens is staying!

With three down and six to go, immediately came an announcement – a separation of the guys into two groups. Group 1 was Lee Dewyze, Casey James and Tim Urban. Group 2 was Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelly, and Andrew Garcia.

And then came the announcement – everyone in Group 1 is going to next week! Lee Dewyze is staying, Casey James is staying, and Tim Urban is staying.

Suddenly it seemed that Aaron or Andrew were to be voted off. Until the announcement — Aaron Kelly is staying and Michael Lynche is in trouble!

And with the clock about to click, the announcement – the judges have saved Michael Lynch. A Double elimination will strike next week on American Idol! No one is voted off this week, the judges save Michael, and next week two people get voted off.
