Is the Post Office Open on Good Friday?

Is there mail on Good Friday? Is the post office open on Good Friday? We do get mail on Good Friday. Good Friday is not one of the few allocated post office closure dates of 2010.
The last such holiday was Washington’s Birthday. The OPM explains that Good Friday is NOT a Federal Holiday. The next such time you need to worry about not getting mail or the post office being closed is Memorial Day May 31.
This is, unless, they pass a measure to restrict mail service to five days a week in the U.S. In total you have 7 more days that the post office will be closed this year for federal holidays. They are the following:
Monday, May 31 Memorial Day
Monday, July 5** Independence Day
Monday, September 6 Labor Day
Monday, October 11 Columbus Day
Thursday, November 11 Veterans Day
Thursday, November 25 Thanksgiving Day
Friday, December 24*** Christmas Day
For Federal employees, July 5th will be their holiday this year:
“** July 4, 2010 (the legal public holiday for Independence Day), falls on a Sunday. For most Federal employees, Monday, July 5, will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes. (See section 3(a) of Executive order 11582, February 11, 1971.)”
