The Bathynomus Giganteus could be the success the Oakland Raiders are looking for.  Just put the Bathynomus Giganteus on the Raiders offensive line and their opponents will run for their lives!

The giant isopod is currently hitting up the net Wednesday via a post on Reddit. Net reaction has included the memorable line: “As we speak, Lady Gaga is already figuring out how to turn it into a hat.” Already? It’s probably already been made!

If he looks familiar, he should. He’s related to the woodlouse. The woodlouse has nothing to do with the Jesse James alleged mistress scandal.

One post tries to explain the Bathynomus Giganteus:

“I work for a Sub-sea Survey Company, recently this beast came up attached to one of our ROVs. It measures a wee bit over 2.5 feet head to tail, and we expect it latched onto the ROV at roughly 8,500 feet depth. Unfortunately, the e-mail that these pictures were attached to came from a contractor, and the ship he was operating from (and therefore location) is unknown, so I can’t tell you what part of the Earth this beast was living.”

Beast? This is a beauty, not a beast.
