STRIKE UPDATE – British Airways travel today through London’s Heathrow is under strike. The British Airways strike is affecting travelers nominally, says the airlines, putting passengers on other companies’ planes pursuant to contingency plans.

Nearly 80 planes are grounded with British Airways issuing the following press statement Saturday:

“Cabin crew are reporting as normal at Gatwick and the numbers reporting at Heathrow are above the levels we need to operate our published schedule.”

“We aim to fly as many customers as we can this weekend.

“At both Heathrow and Gatwick we have got off to a good start and London City is operating as normal.”
