A fake Crosby Higgins email is circulating today. The fake Crosby Higgins email is using the name of the Crosby & Higgins LLP law firm. Do NOT open the email, warns the Crosby & Higgins firm today.

Twitter is buzzing with news that some people are receiving a fake email carrying the name of the New York based law firm. If you do receive the email, do not open it.

The law firm has posted the following alert on their website active as of 11:30 AM PST Monday:

“Fraudulent Email Alert

“Please be advised that a fraudulent email is being circulated notifying of a copyright action utilizing our firm’s name. Crosby & Higgins LLP does not send unsolicited email communications. Please do not open any emails unless you are in direct contact with the firm. We have reported the event to the appropriate investigative authorities. We are deeply appreciative of the many kind words of support and encouragement our firm has received since the start of this incident.
