While Demi Lovato Joe Jonas dating rumors have existed for months, Demi Lovato clearly must have known what she was doing last night. Demi Lovato told press Friday night that she is dating Joe Jonas.

Billy Bush asked her Friday if she had ever dated a Jonas brother. She said “Umm, maybe”. Bush: “Which one? Joe?” Lovato: “[Joe] is my best friend.” Bush: “So you guys went from boyfriend-girlfriend to best friends?” Lovato: “No, kind of the opposite”. Bush: “Oh? So you’re dating him now?” Lovato: “Umm, yeah he is my best friend and he is incredible”.

While the news heats up reports across blogs and sites like US Magazine today, some aren’t getting the importance of the timing of these remarks.

Lovato gives the revelation to Bush less than 24 hours before the season 2 premiere of her tv series Sonny with a Chance which LALATE fans have been chatting up here for months.

The show was a hit from day one, says Disney. Disney Channel president Gary Marsh said in a statement: “Sonny was a hit right out of the gate. [We] look forward to tapping further into its comedic potential, adding music, and more, in Season 2.”
