Giraud stopped by Idol’s Top 12 Results show last night to promote You Don’t Know Me, a duet single with Anna Wilson. But in 2009, Matt Giraud’s My Funny Valentine got rave reviews from Simon and Paula.

Brian Mansfield of USA Today wrote of Matt’s performance last night that Matt is better than every guy this 2010 season, even though he wasn’t even the best male in 2009.

“but Matt’s tearing it up vocally…. You know, I don’t think we’ve got a male singer in the competition this year that can touch Matt. And he wasn’t even the best singer last year.”
