But they didn’t come out, until now. Why?

The Sat Lake Tribune claims that Kevin Garn’s 2002 campaign for Congress paid $150,000 to Maher to not reveal the allegations that year. But today, the jacuzzi details are bubbling up.

The allegations concern an event 25 years ago. Maher reportedly at age 15 she got unclothed in a hot tub with Garn. Garn was 30 years old at the time, and yes, married. Maher reportedly worked for Garn’s business. The hot tub action went down in Salt Lake City.

Garn says all they did was sit in the hot tub, nothing more than that happened.

Now Garn is speaking out.

“I expect to suffer public humiliation and embarrassment. “Some lessons are hard to learn. This is something I should’ve done back in 2002 but I was scared.”

“While this payment felt like extortion, I also felt like I should take her word that the money would help her heal. She agreed to keep this 25-year-old incident confidential. Now that this issue is coming up again, it is apparent to me that this payment was also a mistake.”
