Hilary Duff’s new book is Elixir! Hilary Duff in Elixir writes about photojournalist Clea Raymond. The book will be released in October 2010 this year says Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.

Duff will also write a nonfiction book about children coping with divorce. For Duff, her father’s drama headlined news in 2008. Since then, Hilary Duff’s music and film career has bit much of guest star appearances, not lead roles.

In 2008, Hilary Duff’s dad then in divorce was sent to jail for contempt of court over Hilary Duff’s 21st birthday. His ex wife’s reported response? “This isn’t what I wanted.” Probably not what Hilary wanted either. At issue: the September 28th birthday party for Hilary. Mom wanted dad to spend $25,000 on the event. The judge ruled him to only spend $12,500 for the event. Ah, a nice 50%.

Duff’s nonfiction book about children coping with divorce is  scheduled for 2012.
