START TIME – Here is your start time for the Oscars 2010 broadcast. Oscars’ 2010 date and time are set, the flowers in place, the red carpet down, and unfortunately the big tent still up as rain stuck Los Angeles Saturday afternoon and into the night.

Just days ago the Oscars announced the nominees who will also be presenters tonight.

“Current Oscar nominees Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, Anna Kendrick, Carey Mulligan and Quentin Tarantino will present on the 82nd Academy Awards, telecast producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman announced today.”

Of Damon and Tarantino, the Academy added the following:

“Damon’s nomination for supporting actor for “Invictus” marks his third. In 1997 he won an Oscar for Writing (Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen) “Good Will Hunting.” Damon was also nominated for his lead performance for that film.

“Tarantino’s nominations for writing and directing “Inglourious Basterds” are his third and fourth. In 1994 he was nominated for writing and directing “Pulp Fiction” and took home the Oscar for Original Screenplay. “Inglourious Basterds” is also a contender for Best Picture.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.

The Oscars will run on ABC a series of pre-shows including the red carpet action in the hours before the broadcast.
