A TSUNAMI WARNING CONTINUES IN EFFECT FOR THE STATE OF HAWAII.

AN EARTHQUAKE HAS OCCURRED WITH THESE PRELIMINARY PARAMETERS

EVALUATION

A TSUNAMI HAS BEEN GENERATED THAT COULD CAUSE DAMAGE ALONG COASTLINES OF ALL ISLANDS IN THE STATE OF HAWAII. URGENT ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY.

A TSUNAMI IS A SERIES OF LONG OCEAN WAVES. EACH INDIVIDUAL WAVE CREST CAN LAST 5 TO 15 MINUTES OR MORE AND EXTENSIVELY FLOOD COASTAL AREAS. THE DANGER CAN CONTINUE FOR MANY HOURS AFTER THE
INITIAL WAVE AS SUBSEQUENT WAVES ARRIVE. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND THE FIRST WAVE MAY NOT BE THE LARGEST.

TSUNAMI WAVES EFFICIENTLY WRAP AROUND ISLANDS. ALL SHORES ARE AT RISK NO MATTER WHICH DIRECTION THEY FACE. THE TROUGH OF A TSUNAMI WAVE MAY TEMPORARILY EXPOSE THE SEAFLOOR BUT THE AREA WILL QUICKLY FLOOD AGAIN. EXTREMELY STRONG AND UNUSUAL NEARSHORE
CURRENTS CAN ACCOMPANY A TSUNAMI. DEBRIS PICKED UP AND CARRIED BY A TSUNAMI AMPLIFIES ITS DESTRUCTIVE POWER. SIMULTANEOUS HIGH TIDES OR HIGH SURF CAN SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE THE TSUNAMI HAZARD.

LIVE STREAM VIDEO – Watch live streaming video online here of the Hawaii Tsunami. The Hawaii Tsunami live streaming video will depict the first waves of the Tsunami expected to touch down on the Island now at 1:30 PM PST Saturday.

As of the last five minutes, water discoloration has been reported. That factor suggests water levels will drop near shore. After the water levels drop, pulling water outward, you could expect the first waves to hit within the next 30 minutes.

Reports are making clear to residents that the true enormous wave could be not the first, not the second, but even a much later wave. This is not a quick event but one that will unfold within the next 60 to 90 minutes.

Comments being left on local news channel sites include the following: “All cell phone carriers are getting overloaded priodically. There shouldn’t be any danger to people from what is going on–unless you intentionally ignore warnings.”

Nicolas Chartier’s Osar emails for The Hurt Locker and against Avatar are under fire. The Hurt Locker emails by Nicolas Chartier’s has prompted an apology from Chartier and his studio, Summit Entertainment (of Twilight fame).

The Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (OSCARs) and now reviewing the situation after Nicolas sent emails to OSCAR members voting for Best Picture urging them to vote “not a $500 million film” (aka Avatar).

Now the OSCARs say those emails are a violation of rules prohibiting a member for any “attempt to promote any film or achievement by casting a negative light on a competing film or achievement.”

But it doesn’t end there.

A new report says that Chartier even told “Oscar voters to rank “The Hurt Locker” at No. 1 and “Avatar” at No. 10 on this year’s preferential ballot for the newly expanded best-picture category.”

Oh boy.

His official apology reads as follows:

“My naivete, ignorance of the rules and plain stupidity as a first-time nominee is not an excuse for this behavior and I strongly regret it.”

He’s naive? But he reportedly was so naive he told members to rank Avatar intentionally 10th?

“Being nominated for an academy Award is the ultimate honor and I should have taken the time to read the rules.”
