U.S. coach Ron Wilson says of today’s game the following:

“[Canada is a] hard to beat a team twice in a tournament like this. But we’ve beaten Canada, and we’ll play better than we did the last time we played against them.”

The game today could be decided in the first quarter. USA dominated Slovakia in the semi finals on Friday by scoring 6 goals in just 13 minutes. USA’s score would hold up ending in a 6-1 win.

Pay attention today to Canada’s Sidney Crosby who has been cold the last two rounds, but on February 1 scored three goals.

“I feel like I’ve generated a lot of chances. The puck hasn’t gone in as easy for our line the last couple of games, but we’ve been right there and that’s a good sign. Hopefully, this is the time we’re going to break out here.”

With these two games remaining, the US is far back in number of Gold medals. Canada is first in golds with 13, Germany with 10, then US with 9 and Norway with 8.
