PSN Down PlayStation Network DOWN Network Error Codes
PSN NETWORK STATUS – Sony confirms its PSN PlayStation Network is down and reporting network error codes. The PSN PlayStation Network is down and giving 8001050F error code confirms Sony Sunday evening.
Error codes are generating when trying to log on to the PSN. Canada and US PSN users are among those experiencing the problem.
Sony confirms via twitter tonight the PlayStation Network errors:
“We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.”

Why the problems with PSN are getting repaired how about setting the Voice chat to where we can listen to or music while in the room just like the way we look at pics this would be nice and repair the Desk top so I don’t have to keep putting my wall paper back up as it seems to go back to default every now and then

playstation says its a problem they are looking into and will publish information as soon as they know how to fix it. some people have called and they have said to send it in and they will send a new one. its an overall problem. the slim ps3’s arnt affected because their encoding is slightly different. its being handled. very frustrating, yes, but be glad your not the only one with this problem.

i want to play now but i cant i done spent 90 dollers on a new router cause thats what i thought the problem was but i seen the stupid code we i turned it on and i can even play cod on the co op mode with out the code coming up and quiting my game please hurry up and fix it

I have an 1st gen 80 gig, never had a problem. So psn is down, your systems aren’t the problem just the support. Don’t throw in the towel over one bad incident. Just wish I could still play reguardless of the trophy BS.

i hope its not some kinda trojan virus. i wasn’t even hooked up to the internet at the time my PS3 went down. thats kinda weird cause if its just psn it shouldn’t affect your system if ur not logged on.

yes, i feel your pain, i was amoung the first to have the code pop up. i called and they said i could either send it in for a new one or wait it out..its said to be some kind of software issue because some have had their date set back to 1999. which is very strange in itself.

You can’t expect to get top notch service for a service that is free. I bought my ps3 for single player games. Mutiplayer is new to me. Yes, i love it, i would love it more if I could still play offline. My date was also set to 12/31/1999. I bought a 360 even though I had a PS3, I got rid of it. PS3 is the way to go, we just need better support. I would pay if had to.

at first some people said reformatting would fix the problem but it doesnt, its just a huge hassle, so dont read it from some other forum and try it, after you do it it messes up even more. so just wait it out. dont go to 360, ps will always be better, so many people have it, shows its better. when mw2 first came out, they had server problems with the online also, just wait this one out too.

This is happening to every ps3 except the slims…if my psn connection never works again im gonna be seriously mad…Half my games i play online and i cant play 3 demo’s i downloaded now. I hope this gets fixed quickly

To the people who are having a fit and are saying they are going to xbox, grow up. It is not the end of the world and it is happening to everyone. This is the first problem i have had with mine so that doesnt mean im gonna complain and cry over not being able to play. im glad its a network wide error, when i saw the error i googled it and didnt find anything but “send it in”. when i returned from two walmarts and a meijer only to find that they were sold out of ps3’s, i saw the wave of reports from everyone else. it S but i love my playstation PLEASE fix it soon.

its not every ps3..i have quite a few friends without slims that are able to connect..it just depends on the ps3..its not the server..its the actual system..like a car, throws a code for a reason..

WUZ UP LOL!!! I had this same Network problem when I went to a hotel and they patch me through to some guy on the phone who wanted the IP Address to fix it within like 3 minutes it was up and going GETTER DONE!!! OH and don’t worry its only a minor issue with the network not the internet connection just the PlayStationNetwork Fix it soon Playstation People before I beat my dog~!!!! when I can’t play this just comes out BARRRR!! ive seen a lot of issues with the heavy rain game..i downloaded it last night, and then when i tried to log in, thats when i got the code..so it could very well be some weird thing with the game acting with the system. trophies are being erased and info is being lost..the more you try to do to your system to fix it, the more goes wrong. so just wait, wait for sony to release info.

Really, do yall need to go to xbox360. Do any of you remeber the red ring of death. So what if its out right now, it should only take a while until psn people fix it. Maybe 1 to 2 days at least. For now, i’ll be playing madden 10 till can play mw2.

People…. really. You aren’t going to die because the system is down. I was embarrassed to see some of what is written here. You would be whining more if you had to subscribe to play online like other systems. How about you all take the time to appreciate your family, your wife that you neglect because you spend too much time on COD, or yourself for that matter. it should be fixed very soon..the techs are working on it..ive been watching the twitter and their latest was “We’re narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them.” they are trying to fix it as fast as possible.

I think some of you have different issues this is a Play Station Network error 8001050F Error Code if your code or issue is different you might need service The code stated above you will still be able to search the internet on your PS3 and play games just no friends list or online gaming others have had Blue Ray issues where only PS2 games work No Blue Ray or PS3 games this happened to a friend who has had 3 systems so far due to this BLRAY problem

@ all the comments noting PSN is free. This issue is preventing us from playing games without PSN. So, $500 for the system, ~$60 for the games, and now totally unable to play the games. That’s unsat. Sony will have to fix this quick.

Ok as far as those saying not to complain because the XBOX network cost money that is irrelivent. We paid 500 for the PS3 and easily over $1000 in games, controllers, upgrades. We can not play any games and possibly lost any upgrades. It is not about playing with other people online. I can’t even play by myself. Just me, a game and the PS3. My husband just beat a a game yesterday, wiped out, my 4 year old has been working on Little Big Planet for a few months, wiped out. SO that IS My problem. Not to mention Finaly Fanatasy coming out on Tuesday that my husband has been crying for forever. SO I certainly hope, as a consumer that spends hundreds monthly on these games, that this gets resolved.

I have God of War 3 preordered and paid for and Final Fantasy 13, none of my games wont work but rockband 2 will and none of my downloaded songs work but i can play it and also my trophies are gone for the game just like Dynasty Warriors Strike force and bayonetta is gone. I am not complaining about it being messed up or anything i just wish they will let us know if it can be fixed or something.
