Sade’s new album Solider of Love has arrived. Sade’s music in Solider of Love delivers to fans what they have been waiting for the last decade - amazing, unmatched music.

The last entry for Sade was her 2000 album “Loves Rock”. Now ten years later, Sade is back. It’s been a wait that even other musicians couldn’t endure. In 2009, LALATE reported on Prince’s emptiness waiting for Sade’s return. He said “We got sick of waiting for Sade to make a new album.”

Now she’s back with an older, slightly deeper voice but the same purpose. She says on “Morning Bird” - “There’s no way I can find peace and the silence won’t cease, I’ve lost the use of my heart, but I’m still alive.”

In her 10 year absence, she dissolved her marriage in Spain, ended a Jamaican relationship which produced a daughter, only to fall in love with a Royal Marine. The Chicago Sun Times says of the album:

“But don’t let that stop you from enjoying these sophisticated and soulful grooves: Sade may not be giving us anything radically new, but it’s a pleasure just to have her back doing what she’s always done so well.“

The LA Times adds the following:

“All of these songs work not only because of Sade’s perfect phrasing but because the band (permanent members Stuart Matthewman on guitar, sax and programming, the keyboardist Andrew Hale and the bassist Paul S. Denman, augmented by half a dozen trusted friends) is expert at getting the most from the limited gesture.”
