Gross, or not, it appears to be the most affective Super Bowl ad, getting the biggest post Super Bowl viral reaction. The true test of a a successful commercial spot tonight is one that engaged viewers to do something that the ad elicited.

This one achieved that. It sought people to go to dockers.com/freepants and get the free pants. And that exactly is what people are doing tonight, more than any other 2010 Super Bowl commercial.

The way the promotion works is the following. Be the first 2,010 to register to receive a free pair of men’s soft khakis. The Super Bowl aired on Sunday, February 7 at 6:25 ET on CBS.

There are two ways to register:

1. From your computer or smart phone, visit www.dockers.com, then complete and submit the registration including your first name, email address and zip code.

2. From your cell phone, send the text message DOCKERS to short code 76060. You’ll receive a response asking for your e-mail address to register. To opt out of text messages from Dockers later, text STOP to 76060.

Winners will be notified by e-mail within 24 to 72 hours, with a gift code redeemable at www.dockers.com.
