Brangelina didn’t break up nor consult a divorce attorney, as one newspaper claimed. Now Brangelina are suing the British newspaper that started those claims.

Brangelina are represented in England by attorney Keith Schillings. The paper is News of The World, Britian’s highest selling newspaper.

Schillings writes this week:

“The News of the World has failed to meet our clients’ reasonable demands for a retraction of and apology for these false and intrusive allegations which have now been widely republished by mainstream news outlets. We have advised them to bring proceedings which they have now done”.

The newspaper reportedly claimed Los Angeles based famed divorce attorney Sorrell Trope was involved in Brangelina’s “divorce”. Trope writes to the court that such a claim is utterly false:

“I have had no contact from … Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt I have never met … your clients or had any involvement with either of them. The forgoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm.”

The paper has no comment.
