Couric gives the confirmation after LALATE first broke Couric Perlin details months ago.

Couric talks about everything from being labeled Cougar Couric to their age difference. She tells the magazine that the 17 year age difference is nothing, “Except for, um, you know, he’s
never been married and he doesn’t have children.”

Being called a cougar, Couric brushes it off saying “I just find it stupid, you know? I think it also surmises that the older woman is always the pursuer. That’s not necessarily true. I always say that maybe the older woman is the prey and someone else is the predator. It’s just silly.”

So who was the prey, Katie?

As detailed first on LALATE, Brooks Perlin and Katie Couric have been reportedly dating since 2007. Perlin is the son of financier Sanford Perlin of Darien, Conn.

Couric tells the mag that all the women in her family have great legs. But there is a downside being single. “There are times, quite frankly, when as a single mom, you feel very alone”.

His father said to FOX of the Couric Brooks relationship in 2007, when Perlin was 33:

“These are two private people and I respect that” .

Hi mom Anne Perlin wouldn’t comment then, only stating:

“I don’t believe in any meddling in people’s personal lives.

“It’s a lovely story and I hope we don’t ruin it.”

Months ago, Couric fessed up about her, without naming Perlin, at the annual Class Day address in Princeton, stating before the school’s Tigers:

“I’ve been called a cougar lately … but today … I’m very happy to be an honorary Tiger instead!”

Couric also reportedly kidded about Sarah Palin:

“Coming here was a real no brainer! After all, I can see New Jersey from my house!”
