A new Jay Photoglou Gretchen Rossi lawsuit claims Gretchen Rossi and Real Housewives of OC was not truthful in showing who Rossi actually dated.

On Real Housewives, Jeff Beitzel was depicted as Rossi’s fiancé. That, according to Photoglou’s suit, is false. He is suing Rossi for libel and slander and five other counts, claims reports Saturday.

iPad at BestBuy?! Is Apple’s iPad going on sale at BestBuy, and if so win?

iPad BestBuy rumors are heating up Saturday. Yet bad news about the BestBuy news is that there is no confirmation.

In fact, retail roll out of the iPad has not yet been clear. Reaction to the iPad has been on a rollercoaster this week. The press conference was one of the largest media events of the year. And with 24 hours, the product was getting panned substantially in reviews calling it overpriced, overhyped, and not original. But now, interest is sparked once again with today’s rumor.

The iPad runs any App Store application, as many 140,000 across iPhones and iPod Touch devices. Electronic Arts unveiled new games today for the iPad along with Major League Baseball.

Weight for the iPad is 1.5 pounds. Thickness is .5 inches. Display is 9.7 inch IPS “super high quality.” Battery life is 10 hours.

As broke earlier on LALATE, Shortly in advance of the Apple Tablet Announcement, patents have been issued. And what do they say?

The U.S. Patent Office granted Apple one particular patent called “Proximity Detector in Handheld Device”.

The concept is what a tablet does to determine an object in proximity to it. It calls into question the tablet’s response to an object versus a figure when in proximity to a touchscreen. Yes, if this isn’t the tablet patent everyone has been wondering about, then what is. The patebnt reads:

“The processor instructs the display device to display one or more GUI elements in response to detected object, and perform actions associated with the GUI element when an input is made at the GUI element via the input means,” in the words of the patent.

The tablet is said to perform based upon detection of “capacitive, electric field, inductive, hall effect, reed, eddy current, magneto resistive, optical shadow, optical visual light, optical IR, optical color recognition, ultrasonic, acoustic emission, radar, sonar, conductive or resistive” says Patently Apple.

Mike Abramsky of RBC Capital Markets says of the launch:

“Anticipation for an Apple Tablet resembles that of Moses bringing down the Ten Commandments. Despite high expectations, we believe Apple plans to redefine portable computing — as the Mac redefined the PC — by ‘creating’ desire for a new converged portable device with innovative touch/gestures — with iTunes content.”

An ad featuring Kobe and LeBron referencing a gun chamber is under fire. The Kobe LeBron Nike ad is “Prepare for Combat”.

It’s a print ad which features Kobe and LeBron splashed across two pages with the slogan “Prepare For Combat”.

With Kobe’s face and the “Prepare For Combat” slogan appears the statement in the ad “I’ll do whatever it takes to win games. I don’t leave anything in the chamber.”

NBA’s spokesperson Tim Frank tells ESPN the ad wasn’t give league approval and is downright wrong:

“We had no prior notice of this ad. We think it is inappropriate.”

Nike disputes the heat:

“The Nike print ad featuring Kobe Bryant was intended to illustrate his all out play and commitment on the basketball court. It is a commonly used reference for shooting the basketball and no offense was intended.”

Kobe issued a statement agreeing with the NBA:

“That ad was done months ago, prior to anything that came out. Obviously, we’re very sensitive toward that considering the current time and everything that happened since then. It’s definitely inappropriate. I advised my business partners of that.”
