Rather he was shot several days ago, as broke first here on LALATE. MC Waka Flocka Flame (Juaquin Malphur) – part of the Gucci Mane’s So Icey team – survived the shooting.

The location of the attack was a carwash in his hometown. Now this week, Flame is speaking out about the shooting.

He tells 107.9 the following:

“Somebody was sent to kill me.,, He was so scared, he let me get out the car and grab what I tried to get from him. He hit me in my arm and my whole right side went out. Trust me, he could have did his job if he wasn’t scared. That’s the word out to him and his people.

“I’m straight though, it just broke one of my ribs. Cut my arm. I’m straight, though. I’ll back out there. … Y’all can’t stop me.”

The location of his injury was his arm. Upon being rushed to a local area hospital, Flocka was confirmed in fine condition by his label.

The shooter’s details have not been released but Sergeant Scott McBride, a spokesperson for the Fulton County Police Department, confirms a dispute arose prior to the shooting potentially over Waka Flocka Flame’s chain.

McBride tells the Atlanta Journal Constitution that “a scuffle broke out, then shots were fired.”
