Cydia Crashing – Cydia Crashes on Startup!
Cydia is crashing, with user reporting Cydia causing iPhones to crash on startup. Cydia crashing is heating on up Twitter with LALATE seeing a tweet about the problem roughly every 50 second.
Some users are reporting the cause of Cydia crashing is a poor source code and advising users NOT to restore their device.
But within the last minute, some users are reporting the crashing has ended for them and others reporting an alleged fix. One such tweet read “Cydia is good just loaded in 3gs with doing Nothing to it.”
Similar tweets about poor source code include the following:

Cydia loads for a few seconds, then disappears. Have tried restarting, respringing etc. Have been using it without problems.

Cydia is still not working on my iphone. They problem started at about 11am eastern time for me. Guess we will have to wait and see what happens

Cydia still not opening for me either. Roughly around the same time as Jonathan has stated. Tried removing it, but not getting any luck that way. Will stand by but continue researching!!

My iphone is a 3gs, and i suffer from the same crash described in the other comments. Anyone with ideas on what is the cause and the solution ?

ssh or file into ur iPhone or itouch, under /var/lib/apt/lists detele anything about cydia.zodttd.com
probably only 3 files then respring n cydia works again

Had same issue with cydia crashing on starting the app.Iv’e a 16g 3gs thats been running cydia for 6 months with no problems.Just followed the above instructions and its back working fine.

I do not know much about hacking at all can someone give me the elementry version on how to fix this crashing issue. I do not understand how to place an SSH file or what delete cydia.zodtt means. Help would be appreciated. thanks

Used the rock app under manage and removed the Zodttd source. Wordek just fine. Thanks. P.S. Get Ifile
