American Airlines 331 Jamaica CRASH

The crash of American Airlines Flight 331 in Jamaica has caused no deaths. The crash of American Airlines 331 in Jamaica from Miami caused no deaths, Tuesday night, but injuries are not yet clearly known.
The crash of Flight 331 was upon arrival at Kingston, Jamaica. The Boeing 737 was reportedly at full capacity, roughly 140 passengers. Some reports put the number at 148.
The Jamaica Observer newspaper reports 40 persons injured. CNN via Reuters reports 4 in serious condition.
Jamaican Information Minister Daryl Vaz tels the Jamaica Observer tonight: “There are no reports of fatalities. The injured passengers have been taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.”
The plane started in Washington D.C., headed to Miami, before going to Jamaica.

American Airlines Flight 331, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, overran the runway on landing at Kingston, Jamaica’s Norman Manley International Airport. The flight originated out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, operated into Miami International Airport, and then operated into Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport.
Preliminary reports indicate there are no critical injuries. The aircraft was carrying 148 passengers and a crew of six.
“The care of our passengers and crew members is our highest priority and we will offer all the assistance necessary,” said Gerard Arpey, American’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
American Airlines is in direct contact with officials from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration and is cooperating fully with appropriate authorities. American Airlines cannot speculate as to possible causes of the incident. At this point, no additional details can be confirmed.
