Brittany Murphy Height and Weight

Brittany Murphy was honest about her height and weights. While the question “how much does Brittany Murphy weigh” seemed to follow Murphy for years, Murphy was bold and direct on the issue in several interviews.
And yet, even today, the press continues to ask the same question that Murphy answered for years.
As the net takes to baseless rumor creation Sunday and Monday, Murphy herself had addressed the rumors about her weight many times before. Brittany Murphy detailed her life as coming from a loving family that risked it all so she could become a Hollywood star and staying a tight family thereafter.
Like any good actor, Murphy manipulated her appearance to achieve stellar performances on screen. When Bridget Jones came to theatres, Murphy spoke about her admiration for Renee Zellweger whose own manipulation of her body for roles captivated audiences.
In 2003, Murphy said the following about weight loss for roles:
“The only time I would imagine peer pressure was if I had a character for which I had to gain weight. And that sounds like it would be exciting. Like an action film where I would get to learn kung-fu, or be in CHARLIE’S ANGELS, or play JANIS JOPLIN. I’d make sure that my body was adaptable to different people. Renee Zellweger does that. She’s such a tiny person and it is evidently very trying on the body, but as long as you do it healthily, it’s fun.”
But in 2005, Murphy’s weight was asked about again by press. But the bold and talented Murphy had nothing to hide and shot down rumors in 2005’s Jane Magazine interview. The Jane Magazine interview asked Murphy if her weight loss was attributable to illegal substances.
“Wow. No, just for the record I have never tried it in my entire life, I’ve never even seen it, and I don’t leave the house too much, except to go to work. My worst vice is caffeine. [The rumor is] really pretty darn far-fetched — it couldn’t be further from the truth. I have known people over the course of my life that have bad problems with drugs, and it’s something really serious.”
“I am also way too high-strung. I can’t even take a Sudafed. Can you imagine? My God. I think my heart would explode. I mean, literally something terrible. That’s awful.”
In fact years before, in 2001, Murphy told press she had a heart condition and could never take such substances. A 2001 interview by Murphy to Michael Adams detailed her lifetime struggle with the heart problems. Adams recalls his interview with Murphy in an email statement Sunday.
“it was in an interview about ‘Sidewalks Of New York’ but I asked her about other projects and she mentioned ‘Spun,’. I asked her – as a joke – if she’d taken [illegal substances] for research and she laughed and said even if she wanted to she couldn’t take [illegal substances] because she’d had a heart condition since she was a little girl.”
But in 2005, Jane Magazine continued to ask Murphy about her weight. When asked if she had an eating disorder, Murphy shot those rumors down too, adding the tightness of her family would have resulted in intervention if such rumors were true.
“All right. See, you’ve now met my mom. And if you met the rest of my family you’d understand that if any of these things were true, I wouldn’t be speaking with you right now. I would’ve had interventions. We’re all very close. If anything is even mildly wrong — from a heartbreak to a life decision — the whole family weighs in on it. So I wouldn’t be allowed, and I wasn’t raised that way. And again it’s very unfortunate that so many people have that problem. But you’ve seen me eat. I love food. I don’t know, God gave me hollow legs or something. “
