The reason is a believed “at least” one million dollar settlement from Tiger Woods, claims one legal expert. And who is the expert?

That expert is the daughter of Rachel Uchitel’s own attorney!

Lisa Bloom, daughter of Rachel Uchitel’s attorney Gloria Allred, worked nine years for Allred. Today she is a CBS legal analysts. On Friday, Bloom appeared on CBS’ Early Show. Bloom told the show that in the nine years she worked with Allred she had never known her to cancel a press conference.

As reported all this week on LALATE, Allred had scheduled a press conference for Rachel Uchitel issuing a release that said the conference would discuss the Uchitel Tiger Woods “relationship”. So why did Allred cancel?

Bloom tells CBS that it suggests a confidential settlement between Rachel Uchitel and Tiger Woods which  Bloom estimates could be worth “at least a million dollars.” Bloom added about Allred “I know exactly how she operates”.

If the “at least” $1 million prediction is correct, the week has been a successful one for Allred who according to reports was retained by Uchitel less than 7 days ago.

In fact the last seven days has been a media 365 for Uchitel. Last week this time, she was responding to preview copy of the National Enquirer and Star. Both mags had claimed she had an affair with Woods. Uchitel between Friday and Saturday took to nearly over 1/2 dozen news outlets denying the affair. By Sunday she had retained Allred and was zipping it. Uchitel has not spoken since.

The scandal started last week, prior to Woods’ crash, when the Star and National Enquirer previewed their upcoming December issue claiming Rachel Uchitel was Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress. Rachel Uchitel would deny. Reports in advance of the press conference had claimed Uchitel was to admit to the relations.

Never answered – why had Uchitel of New York retained a Los Angeles attorney concerning the Enquirer out of Florida?

Today, other shocking allegations from “friends” of Uchitel. While she remained silent, several different outlets contained reports from “friends” of Uchitel about what Rachel allegedly bragged about with Woods. One of them was an alleged email from Woods to Uchitel about her having relations with Derek Jeter and Bones star David Boreanaz while he watched after a golf tournament.

US Magazine reported the email allegedly reads: “I had a dream we were married and I was leading the tournament.I came home, excited to see you, and there you were in the bedroom getting …. by Derek and David [Boreanaz]. Some part of me thinks you would like that.”

The Enquirer’s story was based in part on source Ashley Samson who claimed to be Uchitel’s friend. On Friday, Rachel Uchitel said of Ashley Samson, “I’ve met her twice in my life. We’re not friends. I’m just speculating but it seems like someone else is telling her what to say or manipulating her. After all, she got $25,000 for this.” “

Twice in her life? Not so says the National Enquirer Saturday.

“Rachel is such a close friend of Ashley’s that she recently invited Ashley to join her and some other pals on a trip to Spain. AND in an ENQUIRER web exclusive, we’re publishing a photo showing Rachel partying with her friend Ashley on that recent trip to Spain.”

Ashley Samson told the Star / Enquirer last week: “In June, [Rachel] told me, ‘Tiger Woods is blowing up my phone messages!’ Tiger thinks Rachel is staying quiet about their affair, but she told everyone. She told me, ‘I’m having an affair with Tiger Woods. We’re in love!’ … I’ve heard him while she was talking to him on the phone and I recognized the voice. I said, ‘Rachel, he’s married,’ and she said Big (bleeping) deal! It’s Tiger Woods. I don’t care about his wife! we’re in love!’ “

“He’d ask Rachel things like, ‘What are you wearing? What do you want to do to me? What do you want me to do to you?’ She even read me text messages that Tiger sent her that said, ‘I miss you so much! I love you’.”
