Matthews later said he gave the “wrong phrase”. “He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case,” said Matthews. “I thought it was a strange venue.”

Later Matthews said “Maybe, earlier tonight I used the wrong phrase, enemy camp.” “Maybe?” Greta Van Susteren slammed Matthews shortly thereafter “Is Chris Matthews saying that’s enemy camp? Ouch!”.
