Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson, and Pierre Thomas led the New Orleans Saints with Drew Brees to an easy win tonight. Robert Meachem was one of many Brees connected to for his win in Monday Night Football’s  showdown.

Final score was 17-38.

After Saints’ John Carney put the game up 0-3 with a 1st quarter field goal, Laurence Maroney and Stephen Gostkowski would bring the Patriots their only numbers.

In the first, an early TD by Laurence Maroney and extra point by Stephen Gostkowski put the game at 7-3. Then with 12 minutes left in the 2nd, Pierre Thomas’ 18 yard reception and John Carney’s extra point put the game at 7-10.

Three minutes later, the Saints scored again. Still in the 2nd, the score went to 7-17 with Devery Henderson’s 75 yard TD reception and John Carney’s extra point. Just moments later, the Patriots brought it to 10-17 with Stephen Gostkowski’s 36 Yard FG. Then one minute later, the Saints were back, with a 38 yard TD reception by Robert Meachem and extra point by John Carney bringing the game into halftime at 10-24.

In the third, a Laurence Maroney 2 yard TD run and Stephen Gostkowski’s kick brought the game to 17-24. Then a 2 yard TD reception by Darnell Dinkins and John Carney Kick brought it to 17-31. Finally, a 20 yard reception TD by Marques Colston and Carney kick brought final score to 17-38.
