Here is Max Hall’s comment and apology. BYU’s Max Hall Post game comment was “[The Utes] didn’t deserve to win!”. Now Max Hall has issued an apology for his remarks.

Hall’s remarks came as the BYU quarterback faced Utah Utes Saturday. As profiled last weekend on LALATE, Utah in the 4th had a 17 point drive sending them into overtime. Final score would be 23-26.

But a win wasn’t enough. Hall’s comments included:

“A little bit, yeah. I don’t like Utah. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, I hate their fans, I hate everything.”

He didn’t stop there.

“So it felt really good to send those guys home. They didn’t deserve it. It was our turn, and our turn to win. We deserved it. We played as hard as we could tonight. And it felt really good, again, to send them home, to get them out of here, and so it is a game I will always remember.”

And then this:

“I think the whole university, their fans and their organization is classless. They threw beer on my family and stuff last year, and they did a whole bunch of nasty things, and I don’t respect them, and they deserved to lose.”

Here is Hall’s apology:

“I made comments toward the entire University [of Utah] that were really directed specifically at those fans in [Rice-Eccles Stadium]. It was not intended to be directed at the entire organization and all of their fans and I apologize that it came out that way. I have the upmost [sic] respect for Kyle Whittingham, his coaching staff, and the Utah football players. I apologize to them and other members of the university for my comments. I’m also sorry if my comments took anything away from my teammates and coaches and our victory Saturday.”

Williams would defend her outburst as follows:

“I did not threaten to kill you. Are you serious?

“An apology from me? How many people yell at linespeople? I see it happening all the time. I don’t know how many times I have seen that happen. I am a professional. I’m not the beggar, like, ‘Please, please, please, let me have another chance,’ because it was the rules and I play by the rules.”

So what did Williams say? In her outburst following a foot fault call, Williams said to the line judge:

“I swear to God I’m… going to take this ball and shove it down your… throat, you hear that? I swear to God. You better be glad… glad that I’m not, I swear.”

The Tournament referee said in a statement about Williams’ remarks:

“The maximum permissible on site fine of $10,000 has been levied for unsportsmanlike conduct against Serena Williams for her on court behaviour during the women’s semi-final.

“Ms Williams also will be fined $500 for racket abuse which took place at the end of the first set of the same match.”

To that, United States and WTA Tour chief Stacey Allaster added the following:

“No matter what the circumstances, no player should be allowed to engage in such behaviour without suffering consequences. I have spoken with the USTA about this matter and I agree with the action they have taken.

“As a role model, it’s important for a leader like Serena to step forward and recognise her behaviour last night was unacceptable.”

William did not let down in a post match press conference. But, Williams finally apologized in a  statement about her outburst:

“Last night everyone could truly see the passion I have for my job. Now that I have had time to gain my composure, I can see that while I don’t agree with the unfair line call, in the heat of battle I let my passion and emotion get the better of me and as a result handled the situation poorly.

“I would like to thank my fans and supporters for understanding that I am human and I look forward to continuing the journey, both professionally and personally, with you all as I move forward and grow from this experience.”

Clinton is now 29. Marc is the son of former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn. By email Friday, the couple Marc Mezvinsky and Cheslea confirmed the news:

“We’re sorry for the mass e-mail but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.”

The two knew each other since being kids and began dating in 2005 after reconnecting at Stanford.

Over the summer reports had said:

“Hilton Head is a good bet because that’s where she met Marc in 1993 at a Renaissance Weekend, an annual event for heavy-hitters that their families attended.”

Bill Clinton’s rep had then said the following:

“She’s not getting married on the Vineyard or anywhere else this summer. It’s absolutely not true.”

Clinton works for Avenue Capital Group, he works for Goldman Sachs.
