MAP – BREAKING NEWS – Anaheim, CA. Here is an update on the Anaheim Hills Fire 2009 the broke out Tuesday. The Anaheim Hills fire has new road closures as its Orange Country advance proceeds.

The Anaheim Fire that broke out at 10:30 PM Tuesday night amid 53 mph winds and single digit humidity. Those weather conditions are now gone as of this morning.

LALATE BREAKING NEWS 4:20 AM PST TUESDAY.

The Anaheim Fire which had burned 35 acres within 1 hour last night is now contained at 10%. Since last night the Fire only took 15 more acres. Weather conditions are helping, with winds down near 15 to 25 mph, compared to 53 mph last night.

The fire comes literally almost 1 year to the day that Anaheim Hills was hit by a 2008 blaze.

The greatest concern is the western leg of the fire, less than 1 mile from homes. No homes have been lost in the 2009 fire but the concern is real. Fire officials say no homes have immediately threatened harm.

Northbound Route 241 from Santiago Canyon to the 91 is closed. The 241 Toll Road remains closed. Lane of the 91 Freeway are still closed north of fire.
