Are you ready for a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight? You know you are. But are Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. ready to ink the deal for a 2010 Pacquiao vs. Mayweather?

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and Top Rank’s Bob Arum are meeting at the MGM for lunch today. The subject – can a fight deal be made for early 2010? The public wants it, LALATE readers want it, Vegas wants it, but can Schaefer and Arum do the deal swiftly? That’s the hope.

Schaefer tells Dan Rafael today that the meeting is happening to start negotiations, but that both camps won’t be speaking further.

“As part of the negotiations both Bob and I had to agree to keep all discussions confidential. No further comments will be made until such time that we either have a deal or the negotiations fall apart.”

So the question is not …. should this fight happen … but who do you think will win?
