Tito vs. Griffin will rematch a three year old fight when Ortiz defeated Griffin by split-decision in Anaheim. Griffin says of 2006

Griffin says of tonight:

“It’s always nice to be in the main event, especially since I’m fighting at home. As far as the fight goes, a lot has happened since 2006, and I think I’m much better than I was back then. That means a win on November 21st, but more importantly I want to settle the score with Tito.

Griffin who started fighting only in 2000 is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and former The Ultimate Fighter 1 Light Heavyweight winner.

“I get to be a headline fight coming off two losses, and that’s a big deal for me right now. Tito talks about being career-minded and stuff like that. I want to be a headline fighter right now, you know?”

“Tito talks about the mistakes I make and sure, I make a lot of mistakes. Sometimes I go for stuff that’s not there . . . I don’t care how it comes, in what fashion, a win would be great.”

How is Griffin training?

“I try and do jits, kickboxing, wrestling, and some form of conditioning every day. I usually don’t get it all done though.”
