UGA VII Has Died UGA 7 DEAD

UGA VII aka UGA 7 has died. UGA VII’s cause of death is heart related. The University of Georgia mascot, an English bulldog, took over his duties in August 30 2008 replacing UGA VI, the winningest Georgia mascot ever.
Frank Sonny Seiler whose family has owned all seven mascots issued a statement today: “We are all in state of shock. We had no warning whatsoever.”
Damon Evans, UGA athletics director, issued the following statement moments ago:
“This is a very sad day for the Seiler family but also for all Georgia people. Just as his ancestors, he had captured the hearts of college football fans everywhere as the country’s number one mascot. He had been truly embraced by all those who follow the Georgia Bulldogs across the country. We will miss him clearly.”
Send your love.
