Caster Semenya PICS Update!

PHOTOS! Here again are pics and an update about Caster Semenya, the female South African runner who underwent gender tests.
Caster Semenya’s gender results will be kept confidential says the IIAF Thursday. After months of questions about Caster Semenya first surfaced, the International Association of Athletics Federations gave two announcements moments ago. First, results of Caster Semenya’s gender test will remain confidential. And second, Caster Semenya will keep her gold medal in the 800 meter from Berlin in August.
The announcement is part of a settlement between the South African sports ministry and IIAF.

In August LALATE first profiled Caster prior to her win. Then in September, after earning gold, Caster appeared on YOU, a South African publication. Caster said she was proud of herself.
“I see it all as a joke, it doesn’t upset me. God made me the way I am and I accept myself. I am who I am and I’m proud of myself.”
Caster would not respond to test to determine her gender.
“I don’t want to talk about the tests — I’m not even thinking about them.
“When I was in Berlin, I called my parents and said I’d heard people were talking about me. I told them not to listen to any of it. They know me and they know who I am.”
In September, one report claimed access to Caster’s gender tests found her to be a hermaphrodite and producing testosterone at huge levels.
IAFF quickly said the report would come not be issued until November. But IAFF would not deny nor verify the press reports as correct at the time.
“We would like to emphasize that these should not be considered as official statements by the IAAF.
“We can officially confirm that gender verification test results will be examined by a group of medical experts.
“No decision on the case will be communicated until the IAAF has had the opportunity to complete this examination. We do not expect to make a final decision on this case before the next meeting of the IAAF Council which takes place in Monaco on November 20-21.”
