PICS! Here again are Before and After pictures of Sammy Sosa. Sammy Sosa before his bleaching cream and Sammy Sosa after the bleaching cream looks different in the face. But Sosa says the photographers’ “flashes (from the cameras) also made my skin look lighter”.

“Also”?

Yet, Sosa’s wife appears much in the same in the before and after photo; Sosa himself does not. So Univision’s Tony Dandrades on “Primer Impacto” asked Sosa Tuesday night what is causing the dramatic before and after result. Sosa said its “bleaching cream”.

“It’s a bleaching cream that I apply before going to bed and whitens my skin some It’s a cream that I have, that I use to soften (my skin), but has bleached me some. I’m not a racist, I live my life happily.”

Sosa told Primer Impacto further:

“I’m doing well, doing well, thanks to God. A little surprised by the tsunami of attention.”

When asked if he’s trying to be like Michael Jackson, Sosa said: “Not at all, I respect him very much. I’m not a racist. I’m not like that. I’m just a happy person.”

Sosa still has not identified the cream that bleached his skin.  But did admit to using fake colored eye contacts to make his eyes green last week – “[I wanted to ] try something different. I’m not trying to be superficial.”

“I use a cream to keep my skin smooth and soft. I apply it before I go to bed. When I was playing for Chicago all those years, I was in the sun a lot for 1 o’clock games. … I’m surprised with the controversy this has caused.”
