At $10 a hamster, Zhu Zhu pets are selling out … even now in early November. Toys R Us Bob Friedland says “They are definitely a hot item”.
Reports say the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters are reselling online for at least 300%. The Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters are robotic. Parents tell AP this week that basically, if you find one in a store, buy it ASAP.
The hamster is from Cepia Inc. and retails at $9.99. And once you find the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters, then you aren’t done. You need the car, the carrier, all the accessories that add on. Parents say they have been shopping for the Zhu Zhu for over a month, returning to stores sometimes half a dozen times until they get it.

these prices at the sites are absolutly crazy. Be patient go t toys r us at opening time and get them so much cheaper. I did it 4 times to get all my pieces. The prices here are price gouging just like gas companies.

ABSOLUTELY INSANE. My mother got a few pieces online when they were still 15-20 per hampster. I went to target and bought all but three pieces. Combined we spent maybe 150$ All I need is the starter house and the gray one. This makes me sick.

I think its time for parents to teach their kids patience… That hard-to-find-must-have-or-I-will-die toy at Christmas time suddenly doesn’t change what it is in the middle of January when you don’t have to wait in lines, and fight the crowds. I have never bought one of these “fad” toys at Christmas, and my daughter survived to adult-hood. Amazing…I know

Okay so three women in toyrus bought three cart loads of every Zhu Zhu item on the self, while the rest of us got nothing. That is until I made a stink.
An employee takes me aside and whispers, we have more in back! I got mine at that point but was dumb founded why they would let these women buy out all their stock? They suck- is all I can say. If they had limits- these people would not be able to buy them all up and then sell them on Ebay or Craigs List. DON’T be afraid to ask if they are holding them in the back! If you really want them you may have to wait first thing in the AM and then run when the doors open to get some. Sad I know, but true.
