At the start of round 2, Fedor came out swinging first - with not much. After blocking Fedor’s swings, Rogers is brought up against the cage. After that it was all downhill for Rogers.
Fedor lands a right, Rogers fall, and at that point the match was basically over. Rogers on the mat suffered even more punches. 1:48 into the 2nd round referee John McCarthy ended the fight. Emelianenko will face Alistair Overeem in April 2010.

Fedor is unstoppable! Rogers should NOT get a rematch.. Let the champ take on better fighter’s.. Problem is he already smoked through all the good heavyweights.. Who is next that would even give Fedor a 5 round match.. NOBODY!!!!!! Heavyweights need to dodge that man like a bad habbit… >>>>>>EK

This fight was pathetic. Fedor is the overated fight I have ever seen in a cage. The things he did in that fight he would get away with in the UCF. I will name 5 fighters can him to school. Randy Couture, Cain Valesquez, Nog ( now not back then,) Shane Carwin, and YES BROCK LESNAR who he should have fought in the first place. And if Fedor ever fights Lensar Brock will beat him. The fact that Fedor is fighting in Strikeforce has hurt his credibilty. He has very little left. The best heavyweight fighters are in the UFC,and the fact that Fedor refused to sign with them proves he can’t hang with those guys. The same thing happend to Mirko Crocop.

michael, you need to learn basic english before you even start evaluating fights, mainly wording of your sentences and spelling. about cro cop, he was out of his prime before he went to the ufc. his last fight in a ring was alistair overeem, which was ruled a no contest do to low blows, but he was losing that fight from every aspect anyway. do your homework before you start giving us your un-educated, useless opinion.

Michael, learn english.. Crocop just got old and was past his prime. Nog are you joking me? Nog is slower now and Randy is way to old and would get demolished. I think Rogers would give Cain and Brock a hard time, let alone Fedor.

Fedor will fight Brock the commissioner or UFC has said it is inevitable but Fedor’s agent wants way to much for the fight. Just a matter of time.

Fedor, owns every heavyweight. No one comes close to him. Fedor destroyed Nog twice what makes you think he can’t do it a third time. He’ll destroy any UFC fighter.

Well Fedor it’s the best i’ve ever seen, and one thing i love about him, besides his awesome fighting skills, it’s that he is a very simple and modest man, and he deserve (IMHO) to be the best!

Fedor is the top heavyweight in the world now and the past 5 years,dana just afraid to let brock fight him..money isn’t the issue for the ufc it’s there ego and fedor would deflate it quickly..Still like to see fedor v. randy ..

Fedor does NOT own every heavyweight! The reason he and his agent asked for outrageous demands from the UFC is because they know Lesnar, Carwin Dos Santos and Valasquez posed a huge problem. Especially Lesnar and Carwin. They knew if Fedor got beat by any of them his stock would go down. Thy knew SF doesnt have the heavies the UFC has. Lesnar is VERY fast for such a big guy.

Rogers got schooled. He never was in it. With few exceptions UFC’s HW fighters are either past their prime our one dimensional. Neither is the case for Fedor. Many people thought rogers was going to kill Fedor. Where are those people now? I’ll tell you.. They’re moving on to the “next one.” I’m hearing Lesnar, carwin.. line ‘em up boys and take a seat. Lets just hope he can get to everybody before he’s middle age. That’s the only thing that Fedor doesn’t have any control over.
