As covered first on LALATE just minutes after the Yankees Game 6 win, the Yankees Parade will be today, 11 am EST, starting at Battery Park, heading up through the Financial District, through the Canyon of Heroes. The Parade will end at City Hall’s Plaza where 5000 lucky residents won an online ticketing last night.

The Mayor’s spokesperson said in October “We always find a way to honor our teams”.

In 1999, the Yankees victory parade featured players on a double decker bus with Mariano Rivera, then World Series MVP, on his own float. Five city high school bands played. Thereafter a private invite only event was held at City Hall for5000 guests.
