Here is the route and start time for the Yankees 2009 Ticker-Tape Parade. The Yankees World Series Victory Parade will go through the Canyon of Heroes in lower Manhattan Friday starting at 11 am.

The Yankees 2009 Parade route is expected to take the same path as the 2008 Giants Parade. NY Transit is expected to announce route scheduling adjustments to offset increased passengers.

For the Yankees 2000 Parade, NYC Transit made adjustment to the number 6 subway toward Bowling Green. That same year, Transit officials warned parade attendees to avoid numbered subway lines in the area. Those included on the West Side the number 1, 2, 3, and 9 and on the East Side the number 4, 5, and 6. They also advised that year use of the N,R, A, C and E trains when possible.

Millions will line the parade route Friday. The 1996 and 1998 Yankees Parades each drew over 3.5 million fans. In recent years, players have rode on a double deck bus while the Series MVP rode on his own float. And despite the tons of paper to fall and millions to show up, the parade is expected to be financed by NYC & Co. The 2008 Giants Parade, with a cost of $331,0000, was almost fully financed by NYC & Co.

After the parade, an expected private affair is anticipated at City Hall.
