Will Susan Elizabeth Baker be charged in the case of Shannon Dedrick? And will Susan Elizabeth Baker ever be indicted in the Paul Leonard Baker case?

Susan Elizabeth Baker’s name first made news 22 years. In 1987, Susan Elizabeth Baker put to nap her husband’s son Paul Leonard Baker. Baker had married James Baker after his divorce from Paul’s mother Lynda Solorzano. During that divorce, James was awarded custody of Paul.

But since 1987, the disappearance of Paul Leonard Baker, then 3, has remained a cold case. Paul went napping inside the Baker home in Beaufort, SC. Police after his disappearance would quickly attempt to gain evidence in the home’s surroundings. Paul would never be found, no arrest would be made.

Decades later in 2000, Susan Elizabeth Baker was brought in for questioning in the Paul Leonard case. Details of that questioning are yet unknown Thursday. But police confirm Baker was not indicted.

After Paul’s case, the Bakers’ 6 year old daughter was put into state custody after a determination that she had been beaten. Susan Elizabeth Baker was charged with assault, battery, and intent to kill. She was sentenced to 10 years, her sentence suspended to 80 days.

In August this year, reports say Baker emailed Florida Governor Charlie Crist asking for help for Shannon Dedrick.
