Hideki Matsui MVP 2009!

Hideki Matsui last night won the 2–0 World Series MVP. But will Matsui be back to the Yankees? Hideki Matsui is 35 and a free agent for next year.
Matsui also delivered a record setting series performance. His 6 RBIs were the most by any player in a series, passing players who held the previous record at 5.
Matusi says “It’s awesome. Unbelievable. I’m surprised myself.” Last night, as LALATE presented you live scoring of Matsui’s hit-fest, it seems like he was unstoppable. The 35 year old from Kanazaka, Japan delivered inning by inning. But with the Yankees seeking to get a younger team, and Matsui’s 4 year $52 million contract up, will the Yankees renew the DH?
They better. Let everyone remember the play-by-play from last night. In the second, A-Rod walked, Matsui homered.
Then in the 3rd, Matsui did it again. Jeter single, Damon walk, and Teixeira got hit. A stunning Matsui single brought Jeter and Damon in.
In the 5th, Matsui was back. Teixeria singled, Rodriguez walked. Matsui delivered a deep single scoring A-Rod and Teixeira.
Matsui is happy with whatever the Yankees decision is. “I hope so. I hope it works out that way. I love New York. I love the Yankees.”
Reggie Jackson, who shared the previous record at 5 RBIs, called Matsui a “class act”. Jeter said it best – “He’s a professional hitter.”
