PHOTOS! Here again are pictures of Elin Nordegren Woods, Tiger Woods’ wife, who remains indoors since Friday. Elin Nordegren Woods, aka Elin Woods, was profiled on LALATE earlier this year for a more joyous purpose, the couple’s announcement of their newest child.
But now the couple so public earlier this year remains locked up in their Florida home, refusing to speak to Florida Highway Police investigators, as a series of questions go unanswered. Among them are how did Tiger Woods suffer the facial injuries, and were they from his car or not?

In Tiger Woods’ statement Sunday, he does not respond directly to online reports but does indicate
“The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”
His statement also included:
“As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.
“This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.
“This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
“This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”
In February the Woods announced the arrival of Charlie Axel Woods
“Elin and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Charlie Axel Woods, who was born on Sunday, February 8, 2009. Both Charlie and Elin are doing great and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts. Sam is very excited to be a big sister and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I also want to thank our doctors, nurses and hospital staff for their personal and professional care. We look forward to introducing Charlie to you at the appropriate time, and thanks again from all of us for your kindness and support.”
Woods by Sunday has refused three times to talk to Florida Highway Patrol. Highway patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes issued that same day the following statement:
“Just after 1:00 p.m., lawyer Mark NeJame contacted the Florida Highway Patrol to inform us that he is representing Tiger Woods. NeJame stated that the interview that was scheduled for today has been canceled. … The traffic crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.”

This comes after a series of denials by Uchitel that she has nothing to do with Tiger Woods, despite a National Enquirer previewed last week and hitting newsstands this week saying quite to the contrary.
Rachel denies the entire Enquirer reports and said the following about it:
“I don’t appreciate my name or what people think of me being dragged through the mud by people who don’t even bother to research what or who they’re talking about … they should research who these stories are coming from, who they’re believing as a credible source. Not to mention that it’s in the National Enquirer.”
