Pedro Martinez’s appearance tonight resulted in a Yankees chant of Who’s Your Daddy! Pedro Martinez says he’s used to the Who’s Your Daddy chant.

Yet local press reports that while the WYD chanting started after Martinez took the mound tonight, after Pedro retired the first three Yankees without much effort, the chanting gave up.

SBNation says “I expected more, Yankees fan.”

New York’s Village Voice has it’s own (bizarre) spin on the Who’s Your Daddy chant. It explains that Martinez recently said of the chant:

“Who’s your daddy – it reminds me that God is my daddy. It gives me strength. It keeps me strong and healthy and I believe I can do anything.”

To which, the New York paper explains “So if we consider that it was only 5 years ago that Pedro claimed the Yankees were, in fact, his daddy, by the transitive property, we can infer that Pedro thinks the Yankees are God.”

Current score on tonight’s World Series Game 2 is 1-1. World Series Game 2 of the Philies at the Yankees is tied at the bottom of the 6th.

The first numbers came at the top of the 2nd tonight. Ibanez got a ground rule double to left. That was followed up Stairs singling, bringing in Ibanez for the run.

The Yankees got their run in the 4th. Rodriguez in the 4th flied out to left. Hairston and Cano couldn’t deliver. But then came Teixeira who homered to right center.

UPDATE #1 – Score still 1-1 in the 6th.

UDPATE # 2 – Matsui homered in the 6th.  Score is 1-2 Yankees ahead.

UPDATE # 3 -  In the 7th, Posada singled bringing in Gardner. 1-3

UPDATE #4 -  We start the bottom of the 8th stil 1-3.

UPDATE – Final Score:Yankees win 1-3. Series is now tied 1-1. Game 3 is Saturday in Philly.

How much Maddox money are we talking here? Maddox’s total compensation for 2008 was $17.66 million. His age? 34.

Maddox joined Wynn Resorts in 2002. He then was named head of financial operations in Macau. Last year Maddoz was named CFO of the entire empire. Fortune puts him number 1 of its lists of highest paid execs under 40. In 2008 his base salary was $593,590, stock options at $11 million, and stock awards at $5 million.

What time does the World Series Game 2 start? The start time for all World Series games is the same – 7:57 PM EST.

Tonight again we are back in New York as the Phillies lead 1-0 in the series. After these first two games in New York, the World Series goes to Philly for 3 games (if needed).
