Picower of the Picower Foundation – which donated to MIT, Harvard Medical and the NY Public Library – was found dead at the bottom of his swimming pool in Palm Beach Sunday by his wife and housekeeper.

Picower was 67.

Police and a family rep say that he was wearing a swim suit when found, was not breathing, and was in “poor” health including “heart related issues”.

Picower made his money as an accountant, attorney, and then an entrance into the medical field. Last month, Picower was sued by the trustee in the Madoff fraud case. Picower has denied any wrongdoing. He was listed as 371st richest American by Forbes in 2009.
