UConn Huskies Football is mourning the death of Jasper Howard following his stabbing death Sunday. The stabbing death of Jasper Howard followed a UConn sponsored on campus dance at the student union. After the dance let out on the University of Connecticut campus, a fire alarm was pulled, leading to an altercation between two groups outside during which Jasper Howard and another student not yet identified were stabbed.

Police are asking your assistance if you have information about the perpetrator.They are asking you to call University police at 850 486 4800.

The fight broke out shortly after University of Connecticut’s victory over Louisville. During that game, Howard had 11 tackles, a forced fumble, and fumble recovery.

In 2008, Howard was the Big East leader in punt returns. The school website Sunday alerts students that the killer is still at large.

Shortly after 12 am Sunday, students were let out at the UConn student union following a school sponsored dance. At 12:25 a fire alarm was pulled, reports The Courant. Thereafter two groups escalated. By 12:30 two persons were stabbed on Hillside Road, both near each other.

Howard was identified as one victim, the other’s name still not released.Howard was airlifted to St Francis where he died. The other victim has been released from the hospital.
