NYC Marathon Street Closings - Course Route Road MAP!

MAP! Here is your course route map for the New York City Marathon Sunday. The ING NYC Marathon will prompt street closings from Staten Island to the Bronx.
The race which drew 36,562 finishers in recent years will stat at 8:20 AM for the Wheelchair division with the final group, Wave 3, starting at 10:20 am. The marathon starts in Staten Island with total prizes at $500,000. VIP Tickets for bleachers will run you $75.
From Staten Island, participants will head over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge arriving in Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights. When you arrive in Brooklyn, your streets will start in the 90s and count all the way down to zero once passing Sunset Park and entering Park Slope.
In Wiliamsburg, Greenpoint, and Long Island City, you’ll have approximately 5 miles. When you leave Queens and Long Island City, you will be a the 15 mile mark.
It’s then time for the fun as the race enters into Manhattan at east 59 and heads up 1st Avenue. You will stay on 1st and go from 59 to 125th, out of Manhattan, and into the Bronx. The race only stays 1 mile in the Bronx before re-entering Manhattan.
At that point you are at mile 21. You will reenter Manhattan on 5th Ave and head straight down from 138th to roughly 87th where you then enter Central Park. The rest of the race will remain in Central Park.
