UPDATE #4 – While Tim Tebow’s is back home from that concussion Saturday, questions regarding Tebow’s concussion recovery are still unclear.
A new report says that Tebow could miss 4 to 5 days with one insider believing this concussion was “very bad”. While the Gators are saying Tebow is fine, alert, and resting, how soon he will be back on the field is still unanswered for Gators fans.

Shane Matthews explains to the Orlando Sentinel today that, while concussions are common, Tebow’s was “very bad”.
Says the report:
“Concussions are more common than people think, said Matthews, who predicts Tebow possibly has had a couple less-severe concussions in the past without knowing it because he runs the ball so much. Matthews has taken and seen hundreds of hits over the years, and he classified Tebow’s hit as “very bad.” “
Based upon his own experience, Matthews believed UF staff is probably monitoring Tim around the clock currently. He adds:
“It can linger. He can be sick to his stomach, lightheaded, headaches, not have an appetite. It’s a serious injury.”
Gators coach Urban Meyer told press late Sunday:
“Tim is doing fine this morning. His CT scans came back and indicated that Tim suffered a concussion. Our medical and athletic training staff will continue to monitor him to determine how much rest and recovery he needs. We will have additional information and updates this week.”
The impact occurred as Kentucky’s Taylor Wyndham came at Tebow. That caused Tebow to hit the leg of teammate Marcus Gilbert. Following the hit, Tebow was knocked out for a few minutes. His parents rushed to the field. Thereafter, Tebow was able to walk off the field but reportedly was vomiting.
